Sheridan Park Golf Course: A Comprehensive Overview

Course Overview: Sheridan Park Golf Course, Tonawanda, New York

Designed by the renowned William Harries and Russ Tryon, this 18-hole course offers a captivating experience for players of all skill levels. With a par of 71 and a total length of 6,644 yards from the blue tees, Sheridan Park provides a challenging yet enjoyable round of golf. The course features well-maintained fairways and greens, surrounded by picturesque scenery, ensuring a visually stunning golfing experience. While there are no amenities such as a driving range or golf carts available, the course does offer practice facilities, including putting greens, to help golfers hone their skills.

Player Reviews: A Mixed Bag of Experiences

Sheridan Park Golf Course has garnered a range of reviews from players, reflecting both positive and negative experiences. Some golfers have lauded the course conditions, praising the immaculate fairways and greens that are virtually free of dead or brown grass. The challenging nature of the back nine, with its strategic water hazards and undulating hills, has also been highly commended.

However, not all reviews have been glowing. Some players have expressed disappointment with the course maintenance, citing slow greens and unkempt fairways. The lack of a pro shop and updated clubhouse facilities has also been a point of contention for certain golfers.

Despite these criticisms, many players still recommend Sheridan Park Golf Course for its overall layout and enjoyable golfing experience. Some even rank it among their top five courses in Western New York. The friendly and helpful staff, particularly the groundskeeper who diligently maintains the course despite limited rainfall, has also been praised by reviewers.

Golfer Collective, a reputable golf course review platform, offers its own insights into the value proposition of Sheridan Park Golf Course. While acknowledging the mixed reviews from players, Golfer Collective highlights the course's challenging layout and interesting features, such as water hazards and hilly terrain, as key selling points.

However, Golfer Collective also cautions golfers to manage their expectations regarding amenities and pace of play. The lack of certain facilities, such as a pro shop or updated clubhouse, may be a deterrent for some players. Additionally, the course's popularity can sometimes lead to slower rounds, which may impact the overall golfing experience.

In conclusion, Sheridan Park Golf Course offers a diverse golfing experience, with both positive and negative aspects. While the course conditions and challenging layout have been praised, concerns about maintenance and limited amenities have also been raised. Golfers considering a round at Sheridan Park should weigh these factors carefully to determine if the course aligns with their preferences and expectations.

What is considered an expiring tee-time?

From what we've seen, it's the time frame when chances of bookings drop drastically and the expected value of a tee time rapidly approaches $0. For most courses, it's the last 24 hours before a tee time.

24 hours if our default but you're welcome to extend your offer out to meet the needs of your course. For example, a more rural course may want to use 72 hours while a resort near a city may want to use 24 hours
