As states continue to reopen in phases, it is important that everyone remembers to stay as safe and protected as possible when out in public areas. For golfers, even though courses are complying with social distancing and local and state regulations, it is vital that golfers do their part as well. Here are some of the top tips and rules that all golfers should follow for their safety as well as others’ safety:
- Respect the rules of the golf course. First and foremost, make sure that when you arrive to the course you are fully aware of all of the rules and regulations that are in place. This way, you are fully clear on what needs to be followed. Make sure that you keep your mask on, leave flagsticks in when you putt and use hand sanitizer frequently.
- Keep your distance throughout the game. Be sure that you are maintaining at least a six-foot distance from other golfers on the course. If you are able to, try to walk the course versus using a golf cart so you can assure
- Don’t stay around to socialize. Once your round of golf is over, unfortunately it is not best that you stay around to mingle and socialize. Do your part to keep your distance by going home after you have finished up with your game.
